Coogee Beach

Beach Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

What to expect

Coogee Beach is a family-friendly beach with calm surf, making it an ideal spot for swimming and relaxation. The beach is sheltered by a rocky island called Wedding Cake Island and features a rock pool at the northern end and a man-made rock pool at the southern end. The surrounding area has a promenade with restored historic buildings, nurtured parklands, and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and shops. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards and has a surf life saving club. It's also a great starting point for the coastal walk to Bondi Beach, offering stunning ocean views. The nearby parks and reserves are perfect for picnics, with barbecues and playground equipment available. However, dogs are prohibited from the beach and must be kept on a leash in adjacent parks
