What to expect

Cape Solander is a natural historic site and one of Sydney's best whale watching spots. Located in the Kurnell section of Kamay Botany Bay National Park, it offers a lookout with a special viewing platform and information on whales seen in Sydney waters. The cape is named after botanist Daniel Solander and features iconic white rocks made of Hawkesbury Sandstone. Visitors can enjoy whale watching, bushwalking, and birdwatching, and learn about the significance of whales in local Aboriginal culture. The area is also home to the Gweagal and Goorawal Aboriginal People
