What to expect

Cabbage Tree Bay is an aquatic reserve that aims to protect marine life, covering an area of approximately 20 hectares from the southern end of Manly Beach to the northern end of Shelly Beach. The reserve is home to over 150 species of fish, including iconic species such as blue groupers, giant cuttlefish, and a resident green turtle. Recreational activities such as swimming, snorkelling, scuba diving, and underwater photography are allowed. The bay has a beautiful rockpool, restaurants, and picnic areas, making it a great place for families to visit. The reserve also has toilets, change facilities, and gas barbeques, making it a convenient spot for a day out
