Main Beach

Beach Merimbula, New South Wales, Australia

What to expect

Merimbula's Main Beach is a 5-kilometre stretch of pristine blue ocean where you can surf, swim, fish, or stroll. It's perfect for families, with an off-leash area for dogs and is patrolled during summer months. The beach is home to regular visitors like dolphins and seals, and humpback whales can be spotted during spring. The northern end meets the pristine waters of Merimbula Lake, with beautiful sandy inlets and a state-of-the-art accessible playground at Ford Park. The beach also hosts several major competitions, including the Wave-sailing and Kite-Surfing 'Merimbula Classic' in November and a Malibu Surfing Comp in May. The beach backs onto a beautiful bush reserve with heathland and forest, providing habitat for native animals and plenty of walking opportunities
