The Three Sisters is an iconic rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. It is a part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area and is located near the town of Katoomba. The formation is made up of three weathered sandstone peaks, formed thousands of years ago through erosion, and is set among the cliffs of the Jamison Valley. The Three Sisters are best seen from Echo Point lookout, on the edge of the plateau above. The site has great cultural significance to the Aboriginal people, particularly the Gundungurra and Darug tribes, and is declared an Aboriginal Place. The area offers several walking tracks, including the easy Three Sisters walk, which takes you up close to the famous rock formation and offers stunning views of the Jamison Valley. The walk is family-friendly and accessible, with assistance, from Echo Point to Oreades lookout. The site is also home to a variety of flora and fauna, including the superb lyrebird and crimson rosellas
