What to expect

The Cobar Sound Chapel is a permanent sound installation artwork located in Cobar, New South Wales, Australia. It is a creation by composer and sound artist Georges Lentz in collaboration with architect Glenn Murcutt. The chapel is an intimate sound space, a marriage of music, architecture, art, poetry, light, and nature. The 43-hour four-channel sound art cycle heard inside the chapel changes constantly, from mainly mysterious and otherworldly to the occasional wave of a much more intense sound - to periods of almost or complete silence. The chapel is a unique and immersive experience, with a combination of music, architecture, and art that makes it a great place to visit
