The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum is a museum located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is home to the Somerville Collection, which features over 5,000 objects, including some of the finest and rarest specimens of mineral crystals and fossils from around the world. The collection is presented to give a stronger understanding of the development of life on Earth and includes a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, fossils in amber, and Australian opalised fossils. The museum also has a children's play area, museum shop, and accessible facilities, making it a great destination for families and visitors of all ages. The museum is housed in a beautiful 1876 Gothic-style former public school building and is managed by Bathurst Regional Council, with the Somerville Collection in the custodianship of the Australian Museum
