Punta Tombo is a nature reserve located in the Chubut province of Patagonia, Argentina. It is home to the largest Magellanic penguin colony in the world, with over 200,000 pairs breeding in the area. The reserve is a narrow and rocky strip that penetrates into the Atlantic Ocean, offering a unique scenery of patagonic dryness meeting the sea. Visitors can walk along a defined path through the penguins' burrowing area to the beach, where they can see the penguins waddling back and forth into the sea. The area is also home to other wildlife, including guanacos, cuis, and rheas.
