Kaňon Lengarice

Canyon Përmet, Albania

What to expect

Lengarica Canyon, located in the Bredhi i Hotovës National Park near the town of Përmet, is a breathtaking natural attraction. The canyon is about five kilometers long and features towering cliffs, numerous caves, and hot springs. Visitors can walk along the riverbed, which is up to 150 meters deep and only three meters wide in places. The canyon is home to several caves, including one with traces of prehistoric inhabitants from the Copper Age. In summer, when the water level is low, it is possible to walk through the entire canyon. The area also offers horseback riding and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, the village of Bënja is a charming conservation area with stone houses and a restored church. The canyon is suitable for families with children, and kids over 5 years old are welcome to join the river hiking tour
