The Durrës Amphitheatre is a Roman amphitheatre located in the heart of Durrës, Albania. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved Roman amphitheatres in the Balkans, with a capacity of up to 20,000 spectators. The amphitheatre was built in the 2nd century AD and features an elliptical shape with staircases and galleries at different levels. It was used for gladiator combat and other performances, and later became a site for early Christian worship. Today, the amphitheatre is a popular tourist attraction and a significant cultural landmark in Albania. Visitors can explore the ancient structure and learn about its rich history, and the site also hosts various events and exhibitions throughout the year
